The finishing touch to a Constable masterpiece

We worked very closely with the client and historic-building officer to design this beautiful traditional conservatory. This listed house featured in one of Constable’s paintings and he often painted from the bedroom of his sister’s house opposite.

The overall aim was to provide a modern and airy space overlooking the garden. Features of the conservatory include the large Orangery-style frieze, clerestory window to give extra height and oversize doors leading out to the large terrace.
